WHY SHIFT LOCAL?
Marc and Mari believe that the Buy Local movement is a powerful way to fight economic inequality. What started as a blog about how they support mom and pop shops in the Bay Area turned into a passion project dedicated to making buying local hella fun. They run social campaigns, contests, events and promotions such as PIC Oakland, Ideal Date Night Contest, Indie Coffee Passport-East Bay and cash mobs.
